Tried this out. I like the concept. As an ok crypt player (finished the game with cadence, melody, dove, dorian, bard) though, I have to say this doesn't feel as intuitive.
The lobby area has a single backbeat (I don't remember the term for that, I'm not sure it's 2/4, it could be a single snare hit in a 4/4). Took me a little while to realise I could only move half the speed.
And then in the first area, I can't quite get a smooth feel. Dashing especially is hard to pull off at any given time. It's also hard to recover
So, hmm, I guess this needs better feedback.
I didn't try very hard (4-5 runs) and was tired (and had a couple of beers when trying that out though), so it's probably mostly on me. Not sure. I might try it again later.
the game is kind of hard i can't even get past level one! Maybe a difficulty setting can be added later on in the development of the game? Anyways, i love the game!
Thanks for the feedback! We have actually noticed that the learning curve can be kind of steep, but I'll be sure to look into potential difficulty tweaks or settings in the future (:
I love the art in this! Very cool concept and I hope to see more of this game develop in the future! My biggest critique would be adding an FOV slider - the FOV is really squished and having that low of an FOV can make people (like me) motion sick and unable to play the game for an extended period of time. But other than that, awesome concept!
This game has been pretty fun so far! My only complaint is that the tutorial can occasionally randomize itself into being unbeatable, so I've not been able to complete it and have had to figure most things out on my own. Hopefully this gets fixed sometime soon.
I just replayed the game with the fixed tutorial and it's much better now! I think the only recommendation I'd give now is to make the slime and the spider boss have actual audio cues (Especially the slime, since it's very easy for one to sneak up to you).
Glad you like it (: We're totally aware of the lack of sfx in some areas, and it's definetly something we will adress in the future. Thank you for your feedback!

Thanks for telling me! This is fixed in the next version (: I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of it, more stuff's on the way!
